Important booking information -
To make a booking we will email you a booking form for you to complete and return. A deposit of 25% is required when booking.
Provisional bookings are held for 3 days ONLY, pending the payment of deposit. If deposit and booking form are not received after 3 days, the dates are re-released for others to book.
Balance must be paid 8 weeks before you commence your holiday. If booking is less than 8 weeks to commencement of your stay the full amount is payable upon booking.
A £150 refundable damage deposit is also required and is payable with the balance. This will be returned [less any amount for any damage or extra cleaning incurred] within 10 working days of departure but usually sooner.
The changeover day for weekly bookings is a Friday in peak season. Alternative start days may be possible on request out of peak season.
Normal arrival time is 4pm and departure is by 10am. During the pandemic, the departure time is 9.30am to allow for the extra cleaning required
The price you see [or are quoted for a short break] is the price you pay [plus the £150 refundable security deposit] There are no hidden extras such as a booking fee or a charge for dogs or wi-fi etc. By booking direct with the owner you are assured of the best price [no third party commission to pay] and a more personal service.
NB. The refundable security deposit is £250 for stays that include new year

Please note that the shortest way onto the beach is across sand dunes which may not be suitable for some people. There is a flat way onto the beach but this takes a little longer to walk to and dogs would not be allowed access to the beach from the flat area during May-Sept inclusive. There is pay car park adjacent to the flat entrance to beach.
Guests paying from a non UK bank account incur an additional £10 towards bank charges.When the security deposit is returned a £10 fee will be deducted as part of the refund bank charges. Guests must pay the bank charges when sending money to us.
Marsh View Cottage is strictly NON SMOKING
NB On absolutely no account must fireworks be used from or near to our property.
Not only is it unfair on our neighbours, pets, and wildlife, but the houses are timber framed.
Any reports to us from neighbours/housekeepers of fireworks being used, or evidence they have been used, will result in loss of the full security deposit and immediate termination of your booking
